Through our street outreach efforts, we provide essential resources such as food, water, and other necessities to individuals facing housing insecurities. LEXCOUNT 2026
LexCount is Lexington, Kentucky’s annual point-in-time (PIT) census of all individuals experiencing homelessness. Coordinated by the Lex End Homelessness Continuum of Care, teams of volunteers and service providers fan out across Fayette County to count both sheltered and unsheltered individuals, conduct housing surveys, and distribute care packages.
The count is mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to identify local trends, allocate federal funding, and connect unsheltered people with emergency housing resources
